Microneedling, otherwise known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure designed to stimulate the skin’s wound healing response by creating a controlled injury to the skin. By stimulating the skin’s wound healing response, fibroblast cells migrate to the wound site and begin synthesising collagen and elastin. This skin treatment results in an improvement to the skin’s tone/texture, a reduction in fine lines/wrinkles, reduced pore size & scar reduction.

Is the procedure painful?
My clients experience minimal discomfort. However as I am a registered nurse I have access to prescription topical creams.
How many treatments will I need?
For best results it is recommended to do a series of 4-6 treatments, 4 weeks apart.
When will I see results?
The skin will appear more radiant after a few days, with continued improvement after 4-6 weeks due to collagen synthesis.
Is there downtime?
There is minimal downtime with this procedure. Initially you may experience redness, heat and itchiness. This typically subsides within a few hours. 1-2 weeks post treatment your skin may experience a mild shedding.
Is microneedling safe for all skin types?
Skin needling is generally safe for all skin types, however it is always best to discuss suitability with your practitioner.

I require a $50 booking deposit, the deposit is redeemable off the treatment cost. Cosmetic Nurse Consultations cost $50, if you proceed with a treatment the cost will be deducted from your treatment.

At Balanced Cosmetics a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for any appointment cancellations to allow time to reallocate your appointment to another client. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, or fail to attend a booked appointment, I reserve the right to not refund your deposit.
